I know there are lot of tips out there to try and get your children (and admit it, yourselves as well) to sit down and listen to the leaders of our church speak at General Conference. Besides those packets that are out there, I heard a FABULOUS idea. What makes it even more fool proof is that a 9 year old told me and she loves it! This idea is perfect for the senior primary and up.
At the very end of conference you have an ice cream party. This can be done with neighbors or family (the girl's family always went to grandma's house). Depending upon how many sessions you watched was how many scoops of ice cream you get. Then you earn the number of toppings for your "sundae" on how many correct answers you have from a little quiz/discussion. Questions can range from give one example of a song that was sung, what topic did Elder Bednar speak about.... How fun is that! The girl said that it is fun because her grandma has a ton of different toppings (I'm imagining gummy bears, sprinkles, chocolate chips, marshmallows....) and then they end up talking about church stuff.
Try it. You just might like it. But, keep in mind that if you're running the show, you're the one that has to be on top of all the sessions. Which I guess would be good for most of us.

Such a great idea!
I tell Joy you send your congratulations! Hope you also heard that Ennis received a kidney transplant last week??? Everything is going fine (and we are praying it continues to do so) and he went home yesterday!
