Ohhhh....the Joys of a Mom

Sunday dinner conversation....
Daradie: Mom, there's those arm things that you hold and they shake your arms.
Me: Is it a toy?
Daradie: No. They're for you. You hold on to them to make your arms strong.
Dan: [holding up arm and showing kiddos his muscle] I don't need them. I've got muscle.
Me: I don't need them either. I've got good arms.
Daradie: No you don't. You have flabbies. You need little kid arms like mine. See, so you can have skinny kid arms. [Dan is avoiding eye contact and shaking from laughing--not sure if he's in my corner or not....]
Dan: A lot of football players have them. [Koen is now flapping my flabbies.]
Daradie: Flabbies.
Koen: Mom has flabbies.
Daradie: Flabbies, flabbies, flabbies, flabbies (repeated in the background for the next 83 seconds that seems more like eternity).
Dan: [after putting dinner plate away and looks on the top pantry shelf] Hey, who ate my Twinkie?
Koen: Not me.
Daradie: There are Twinkies? [finally relieved that she is no longer chanting "Flabbies."]
All eyes on me as I say: I did. It's right there [shaking my flabby].

I need to have a talk with your kids, because you looked AMAZING at that Peck reunion. Those munchkins have one hot, in-shape Mama.
